Sausage Cream Cheese Rotel Crescent Rolls
Buttery crescent rolls are filled with a comforting mixture of sausage, cream cheese, and Rotel tomatoes and green chilies for this delicious and easy appetizer. These little two bite treats are the perfect addition for parties.
I’ve been on the lookout for fresh appetizer recipes this holiday season. Enter the Sausage, Cream Cheese & Rotel Crescents. These warm and filling two bite appetizers are comforting and so tasty. You can jazz up the flavor by adding extra optional herbs like parsley and cilantro.
How to Make Sausage Crescents:
- Brown the sausage and let cool.
- Drain the Rotel tomatoes very well. A fine mesh colander works great for this!
- Let the cream cheese come to room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 375-f degrees.
- Chop any additional herbs you plan on adding.
- Combine the sausage, cream cheese, drained Rotel, and any additional herbs together in a mixing bowl.
- Unroll the crescent triangles and cut each triangle up the middle to create two very skinny, long triangles.
- Use a small cookie scoop to add small scoops to the base of each crescent triangle and roll up.
- Place the crescents on a parchment lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.

- Small Cookie Scoop (1 Tbsp.)
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper Sheets
- Pizza Cutter
Ingredients
- 1 pound plain sausage cooked and crumbled
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 10 ounce can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies drained very well
- 2 Tablespoons parsley finely chopped (optional)
- 1-2 Tablespoons cilantro finely chopped (optional)
- 2 tubes crescent rolls cut each triangle up the middle the long way
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375-f degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage crumbles, cream cheese, drained Rotel, and herbs if using. Set aside.
- Unroll the crescent rolls. Using a pizza cutter to cut each triangle in half, making two very long and skinny triangles.
- Using a small cookie scoop, or a heaping teaspoon measurement, scoop the sausage mixture onto the base of the crescent roll and roll up.
- Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet for 15 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
