Unbelievably Good Shredded Apple Pie

Sweet and cinnamon Shredded Apple Pie is a twist on a classic dessert. The consistency of course is different than a traditional apple pie, but the taste is different as well. Eggs in the shredded apple mixture create a wonderful flavor.

Shredded Apple Pie is not something I’d heard of until I tried this delicious pie. My mother commented that the texture and taste reminded her a bit of pecan pie, which I agree on.

This is a very sweet pie indeed. I think you could safely get away with cutting the sugar down to using one cup total, if you prefer. I was blown away at how good this pie was. Enjoy!

  1. My husband called this the "best apple pie that I have ever had!". Making again – it's a family fav!

This pie was so easy to make and turned out GREAT! I used only 1 cup of sugar and 3 large Fugi apples. Personally, I would have preferred more cinnamon, but hubby thought it was PERFECT! I am going to try making the recipe as a “slab pie” by doubling the apple mixture and using a double pie crust recipe. (Not as easy as using a frozen pie shell, though!) Will try to remember to share my results.

Made this for a desert for a seafood boil our daughter had one of the quest is a chef who owns 4 restaurants and two Louisianan and they stopped eating the main corse so they would have room for desert and then raved about it thank you so much for your amazing recipe.

Really a great pie, I too would’ve like more cinnamon but I love intense flavors. I’m going to make this again but try an oat crust!

I’ve had the recipe pinned for years and finally decided to make it. So sorry I waited so long! Delicious. My kids, who don’t love fruit chunks in their desserts, loved it too.
