Slow Cooker Beef Tips in Gravy

We’re talking about meat and gravy today, which even when you put them into some chipped china, isn’t the prettiest food. It tastes great though, which is what is important to me. I served this with the Cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole, but it would also be great just over regular noodles or rice.

Crock Pot Beef Tips in Gravy
Makes about 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb. stew meat, thawed
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet lipton dry onion soup mix
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients and pour over the meat. Set crock pot to low for the day. (This will be about 6 to 8 hours. I thought it was perfect at 6 hours and a bit overdone and chewier at 8 hours.)

  1. My husbands mom makes this, but she uses round steak and doesn't include the gravy packet. The stew meat seems like it would be much more tender and flavorful, and the gravy seems to give it a nice thickness!

    Can't wait to try it!
