Cheesy Shrimp Ciabatta

For out last get together I made this delicious Cheesy Shrimp Ciabatta. This is an appetizer that shrimp fans will love. In our family this is one of our most favorite recipes. It's so delicious!

You can go with a baguette instead if you would like bite sized portions, but it is hard to beat a fresh loaf of ciabatta bread. The baguette slices will get much crunchier so if you prefer that mouth feel, you can go with a baguette. A fresh French bread would also work great. Enjoy!

Heavenly Morsels -3 Ingredient Cookies-

Delicious, chewy cookies that only take three ingredients. I spotted this creative recipe over at Love to Be in the Kitchen. It utilizes graham cracker crumbs, sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips. Yep, that's it. If you love chewy, chocolatey cookies, you will probably love these. Enjoy!

Notes: The parchment is highly recommended as this is a very sticky cookie. If you were out of parchment, like I was, just spray the pan with cooking spray lightly and after they have cooled for about 30-40 minutes you can safely remove them from the baking pan. It takes some elbow grease to get them off the pan, but it can be done. This is why I urge you to use parchment paper. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Pistachio & Coconut Cream Marshmallow Salad

Lovers of the traditional Watergate Salad will want to try my recipe for Pistachio & Coconut Cream Marshmallow Salad. Instead of solely using pistachio pudding I combined a box of pistachio and a box of delicious coconut cream jello. The result is absolutely delicious. Portion them out into little dishes and if you'd like, garnish with a bright red maraschino cherry. Enjoy!

Moist Pumpkin Banana Loaf

Banana bread takes a spicy pumpkin twist with this tasty recipe. Now I know the ingredient list seems long since you are making two bread recipes, but each batter only takes one bowl, saving you some clean up. 

The original recipe called for half of a can of pumpkin, which I misread and ended up using a full can. This may be the reason my loaf didn't 'marble' when I swirled a knife through the batter. As you can see, the two batters really didn't combine that much, but the final result was such a moist and delicious cake that I didn't mind.

This loaf is delicious served plain, or you can add a bit of butter or cream cheese to make it extra delicious. Many thanks to Take a Megabite for this recipe. Enjoy!

Sweet Potato Puffs with Gorgonzola Sauce and Bacon

Snickers Apple Salad

Crisp apples, fluffy cool whip and pudding with Snickers bars make up this delicious side dish. This is one of those dessert "salads" which some people seem to be offended by. It is so delicious though!

Feel free to switch up what type of apples you use. Having made this with two sweet apple varieties, gala and golden delicious, I think a tart and sweet combo might be better, like granny smith and gala. Those were just my taste preferences though.

Please note- This salad is best served on the day it is made. I wouldn't recommend making this the day before. Keep it fresh and the apples crunchy by making it shortly before you plan on serving it. A few hours ahead of time is just fine, though.

Many thanks to Holly at Life In The Lofthouse who posted this recipe over at The Country Cook. The original recipe called for caramel sauce to be poured over the top, which I think might be more for presentation. It was super sweet just the way it was, so I skipped the sauce. Enjoy!

M&M Pretzel Rods

Using mini M&Ms on chocolate dipped and white chocolate drizzled pretzel rods makes for festive and delicious sweetness. You can swap out different colors to fit the theme of whatever holiday or party you have planned. I highly recommend the candy bark / almond bark for these. They melt much smoother and easier than using chocolate chips.

Lay out parchment paper, spoon the milk chocolate over the rods and spread it all over, leaving an uncoated area at the bottom for holding them. Let them set on the parchment for about 20 minutes. Then melt the white chocolate, add it to a ziploc and snip a very small end in a corner, and drizzle. Immediately top with the M&Ms and let set.
