Sonic Grape Limeade
Another addition to our Cinco de Mayo feast was this Sonic Grape Limeade. Not having been to a Sonic in years, I can’t comment on how closely it is to the real thing, but it is very tasty. Many thanks to High Heels & Grills for this recipe.
This mixture is quite tart. I think you could get away with only using half a can of limeade. Adding ice does tone down the tartness as the ice melts. I would recommend using half of the limeade, preparing the punch, then tasting to see if you want to add the full amount of limeade.
Sonic Grape Limeade
Makes about 10-12 servings
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. can limeade concentrate, thawed (see notes above)
- 2 pkgs. grape kool-aid
- 2 liter bottle Sprite
- Fresh limes, optional
Directions:
- Combine limeade and kool aid until no lumps exist.
- In a large pitcher or bowl, gently mix together the limeade/grape mixture and the sprite until well combined. Be sure to stir gently so the punch doesn’t go flat early.
- Slice your limes and add it to the mix.

Very good. Will be a summer go to. Seeing it’s just me I didn’t add the sprite right away. I mixed the limeade and kool aid, put it in a container and kept it in the fridge. I then added a shot of the mixture to a glass of ice and then added the sprite whenever I wanted. Added a shot of citrus vodka when I wanted an adult beverage.
Great idea Alisabeth, thank you so much for the feedback!
