Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescents are a quick and easy twist on the classic dish, made with crescent roll dough filled with breaded chicken tenders, ham, and Swiss cheese, baked to golden perfection. Perfect for a delicious meal or appetizer.
Introducing Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescents! These flaky crescent rolls are filled with honey mustard, Swiss cheese, ham, and chicken tenders for a convenient twist on the classic dish. Perfect for appetizers, snacks, or meals. Let’s get cooking!
What made these over the top delish was the honey mustard, so I urge you not to skip that ingredient. I didn’t have any on hand that was pre-made so I mixed up equal parts of Dijon mustard and honey and it worked out great.
Ingredients Needed
- 8 oz. can crescent roll dough (8 crescents per can)
- 8 tsp honey mustard plus extra for dipping
- 4 slices baby Swiss cheese halved
- 8 slices deli ham
- 8 whole fully cooked chicken tenders
Method
- Bake chicken tenders, set aside.
- Spread honey mustard on crescent rolls.
- Layer cheese, ham, and chicken tender on each crescent.
- Roll up crescents and bake for 18-20 minutes.
Variations
- Bacon Lover’s Twist: Add a piece of cooked bacon in addition to the ham and cheese for an extra savory twist.
- BBQ Bliss: Substitute honey mustard with BBQ sauce for a tangy and smoky flavor. Add a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese on top for an extra cheesy twist.
- Spicy Kick: Mix some hot sauce or sriracha into the honey mustard for a spicy twist. Substitute the Swiss cheese for a slice of pepper jack cheese for an extra kick.
- Sweet and Savory: Spread a thin layer of apricot jam on the crescent rolls before adding the ham and cheese for a sweet and savory twist.
Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescents are a versatile and delicious dish with endless variations to suit your taste preferences. Enjoy the customizable flavors of this easy-to-make meal!
