For Easter this year we made orange and raspberry cupcakes. Top them with candy chicks, Easter themed jelly beans and dyed green coconut for a sweet dessert.
Dyed green coconut is simple to make, it just requires a bit of elbow grease to mix up all the coloring with the coconut.
Green Dyed Shredded Coconut
Makes 1 cup
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 teaspoon water
- food coloring
- Put the coconut in a ziploc bag.
- Dissolve a few drops of food coloring in the teaspoon of water, then pour this colored solution over the coconut in the bag.
- Seal the bag and shake until all coconut is uniformly colored.
