Best Ever Cranberry Broccoli Salad
Fresh broccoli florets are mixed with dried cranberries, red onion and shredded cheddar. Mix that up with homemade dressing and topped it all of with crisp bacon crumbles.
I might as well go ahead and name this week Cassie Craves Week. So far I have posted Pretty Damn Amazing Biscuits with Sausage Gravy and Cowboy Burgers with Caramelized A1 Onions. Next up is the best Broccoli Salad that I have ever tasted.
Have you ever tried the broccoli salads from the grocery store? While they may be good, they sure are expensive. It is much more economical to make your own. It is fresher, tastes better and you can make much much more of it.
The only change I made was to add about 3/4 cup dried cranberries since I like a hint of sweetness. You could omit the dried fruit component entirely if you prefer.

You are making me blush this week!! 🙂 I absolutely love this broccoli salad and I'm so glad you liked it too. I really like your addition of cranberries…so much more interesting and tart than the golden raisins I sometimes add!
I REALLY appreciate that you don't mind me posting a few of your recipes this week. Thank you 🙂

Can you use Miracle Whip instead?
Hi Jennifer – I'm not sure how it would taste using Miracle Whip instead. Since MW is so sweet as is, I don't know if you'd want to add the sugar and vinegar to it. That is up to you and what you think is best. Please let me know how it turns out if you try it 🙂
The broccoli is not cooked or steamed right?
Correct 🙂
What kind of vinegar?
plain white
Made this last night, only change was I added a handful of baby spinach.
Whole family loved it! Nice crunch, very tasty, will be making it again.
And again. Thank You!
Thank you for the feedback! I love hearing how dishes turned out. Happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed it.
I’m making for a crew that doesn’t like Mayo. And I don’t like Miracle Whip. Is there another substitute or can I eliminate it?
