Mom’s Hot Chocolate Mix

Making your own Hot Chocolate Mix can be a more frugal option than buying premade from the store. You only need 4 ingredients!

The rain and storms are already moving in for a lot of us as Fall approaches. A great treat to have on hand is a do it yourself Hot Chocolate Mix. If you are a marshmallow fan I recommend keeping them separate from the mix when storing, otherwise they will get stale.

  1. My wife makes this, but leaves off the Quik and uses the flavored coffee creamers for either a mint or cinnamon flavor. The nice thing about this recipe is that it dissolves better then almost any of the store bought mixes.

  2. @Keros – That is a genius idea to use a flavored coffee creamer. I am partial to mint, I am going to try that out the next time I make a batch. Thank you (and her) for the wonderful idea.
